April 29, 2020 Dear Customer, I really hope that you and your family are safe and in good health despite the challenging times. In my daily talks with people all around the world, I can feel the complications experienced by you and many in our industry. I have big respect for the challenges faced by everyone in this situation. With this letter I want to reach out to you and let you know that we at Volvo Trucks care and are doing all we can to support you. You are so very important to us, and I want to thank you for the good relation and the mutual business we have. From our side it is a partnership we want to develop further over many years to come. Our world is facing major challenges. Mobility has been heavily restricted. Borders have been closed. I feel very strongly for everyone who has been affected by the virus, and I also see that many struggle to keep businesses going. During these times we are seeing a lot of strong efforts to keep society running. Communities and people are coming together. Truck drivers are transporting food, medicine and other life critical supplies under very tough conditions, making heroic efforts. As part of the transport industry, you are playing a very important role in this very special situation. Together we are strong. We will soon be resuming our manufacturing operations, with limited capacity, and we will keep our workshops open.
